Banana Nutella Creme Pie with a pretzel crust!
I made this in honor of Pi Day, and it was DELICIOUS. It’s super easy, so I thought I’d share how to make it with you.
Pretzel crust (pre-heat oven to 450*F)
-2 1/2 cups finely crushed pretzels, I used my blender to do most of the crushing for me. There will still be some pieces needing to be crushed down. (I used the handle of my ice cream scoop :P )
-3 tablespoons brown sugar
-1 cup of butter, I put in a little bit more than 1 cup. I like my pie crust buttery, what can I say?
Mix everything together! I found it a lot easier to mix the butter and brown sugar BEFORE the crushed pretzels.
Next, spread in your pie pan and bake for 10 minutes!
Now for the filling goodness!
Banana Creme Pie (pre-heat oven to 250*F)
-2 mashed bananas
-1/2 can of condensed milk
-Juice from half a lemon
-1 egg yolk
Mix everything together! Told ya it was easy.
Fill your pie crust with the banana filling and bake for 30 minutes.
Once it’s cooled down a bit, add the Nutella on top! I microwaved 1/2 a jar for about 40 seconds and then used a spoon to “paint” the top of the pie. Chill in the fridge for about an hour and you’re good to serve!
Enjoy! I’m definitely going to make another one of these soon.
